Why Locals Love OVN
Nestled along the scenic seaside of Jakarta’s Penjaringan district, OVN is a charming ice cream shop that doubles as a cozy artisan bakery, delivering a refreshing taste of creativity and quality in every scoop and bite. Located at Jl. Rukan Beach View Blk. A No.38, this multi-level spot has quickly become a beloved favorite for locals and visitors alike who crave indulgent ice creams paired with exquisite pastries in a welcoming and spacious atmosphere.
One of the standout features of OVN is its meticulously crafted menu, where unique flavors like their beloved blueberry cream cheese ice cream steal the spotlight. Jennifer Bratakencana highlights the real blueberries crowning this creamy delight, complimenting its perfectly balanced sweetness and texture that feels both rich and refreshingly light. The diverse selection also includes intriguing flavors like pistachio and lemon crème brûlée, as well as a tempting pasteis de nata – a pastry that offers a crisp contrast with its caramelized custard filling.
The ambience here is truly something to savor. Spread across four floors, including a beautifully aesthetic second floor that Jennifer praised for its thoughtful interior details, OVN offers a calm and generous space between tables that invite you to unwind and linger. Whether you’re enjoying the cozy indoor area or the pet-friendly outdoor seating that lets your furry friends accompany you, the space is designed with comfort and style in mind. Ruby Shin appreciates the charming beach view the café provides, making it a perfect spot to start your day with an artisan breakfast or a relaxed coffee break. Speaking of coffee, OVN serves expat coffee beans from Bali, an affordable and quality accompaniment to their sweet treats, which Moka found to be a delightful pairing alongside flaky scones.
Service here is warm and efficient, with staff delivering not only friendly smiles but quick and attentive service, as noted by Lorraine Frederica. While the outdoor seating might not offer the plush comfort some seek, it’s a safer and refreshing environment that complements the pandemic-conscious visitor’s needs without sacrificing style or the café’s inviting vibe.
For those who appreciate the finer details and flavors in their ice cream and pastries, OVN offers not just food but an experience—a thoughtful blend of artisan craftsmanship, aesthetic appeal, and a seaside breeze that lifts the senses. Whether you are indulging in a creamy scoop of pistachio ice cream or savoring their generously filled croissants, OVN feels like a secret gem tucked away by the sea, waiting to delight your palate and calm your soul.
With its unique combination of quality ice cream, delicious bakery treats, beautiful setting, and impeccable service, OVN stands as a must-visit spot when in North Jakarta—inviting you to slow down, savor every bite, and enjoy the best of what this seaside neighborhood has to offer.

Lovely interior, the details were amazing. We sat at the 2nd floor which was even more aesthetic. Very cozy and spacious, generous space between tables. We tried their blueberry cream cheese, pistachio, lemon creme brulee and pasteis de nata. Their blueberry cream cheese was my favorite actually, they use real blueberries on top and the cream itself isn't too sweet. Texture is just perfect. For the pistachio, I felt like the filling was waaay too runny, didnt taste any pistachio at all. Lemon creme brulee was aight, nothing bad to say. It was crispy on the outside from the burnt caramel and inside the filling was a lot, not as lemony as I would like but I can still taste the lemon. The biggest letdown was the pasteis de nata, it was too dense for me and lacking in flavor. But their croissant texture is no joke, buttery and tons of layers.

Coffee shop with expat coffee bean here! That it is affordable. I bought a flat white here and scones, total 50k. Nice! Eventhough the coffe taste not like the original expat cafe in Bali. There are 4 floors, so it is quite convenient. Toilet was super clean. Great job.

A nice artisan bakery in PIK, along the Sea Side. They offer unique and delicious bakeries and pastries, with the price range about 30k IDR. They have comfy indoor area. Plus, the outdoor area is pet friendly, so you can go there with you lovely furbaby. It's recommended. Enjoy guys!

The croissants are so good! Pricing is on the expensive side, but they fill their croissants generously too. The employees were really quick to serve my orders and friendly as well. The place is a bit small and I don't really recommend to sit and eat there, they only have outdoor seatings (which is cool, safer with the pandemics but I won't call it super comfy) All in all, worth to try at least once, then you can decide by yourself if you want more :)

Place is surprisingly very nice, the store is located in the second floor if you're entering from the parking area. They sell pastry, both sweet and savory. Taste is pretty good and they are also pretty generous with the topping, however it's a bit pricey.

Great selections of pastries. Excellent service and prime location overlooking the water and perfect spot for sunset viewing. Tried the chocolate almond croissant and it was delightful. Iced klepon latte was exquisite and unique too! Definitely a must visit place and highly recommended!
